try a dark(not too dark remember) yet chilling shade of purple it’ll go down nicely
Have you painted the walls yet? Before you do if you havent do so go to your local hadware and get a few color sample books and go through them. When you find some colors that you like get a sample and paint a test spot on something other than the wall its self. Try splitting walls in half with 2 colors. generally a darker color on the bottom half from the floor up to 38 inches then a lighter color for the top half. the ceiling should be a little lighter than the top half of the walls and trim should be done in a semi gloss that matches the top half of the wall. Where you split your wall either use a chair rail which can be costly or maybe a wall paper border I think the chair rail painted the color of the top half in a semi gloss would give you the look your going for with the cherry woods. If you like I could send you some pictures of the room i just did this way. It gave it a rich look to the room. If you go with darker richer colors remember to have plenty of lighting in the room so it doesnt look closed in or small
My mom is exactly like you and painted a wall in her living room a deep burgandy color and it looks great! I’d say just one wall a deep color because you don’t want your office to look really closed in and small
Good Luck!
